Overview

The Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) program equips students with a strong foundation in electronic systems, communication technologies, and embedded systems, enabling them to analyze, design, and troubleshoot electronic circuits and communication networks. The curriculum blends theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience, covering a broad range of subjects including Electronic Devices and Circuits, Digital Electronics, Analog Communication, Microprocessors and Microcontrollers, Embedded Systems, VLSI Design, Optical Communication, and Signal Processing.

As one of the fastest-evolving engineering disciplines, ECE prepares students for careers in telecommunications, embedded systems, consumer electronics, IT, and automation, while instilling ethical values, problem-solving abilities, and an understanding of emerging technologies.

Students enrolled in the Polytechnic Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering receive excellent exposure to both theory and practical aspects, including PCB Design, Circuit Simulation, Communication Protocols, Network Troubleshooting, and IoT Applications. The program emphasizes both hardware and software integration, making graduates versatile and industry-ready.

Eligibility

Criteria for admission to polytechnic is SSLC or equivalent with percentage specified by the DTE. Lateral entry to second year diploma for ITI and PUC students in Science stream.
